# API Reference Overview

> The endpoints you need to send an enquiry to Tera, read its status, and upload documents the customer already gave you.

Most integrations need one create call and a webhook endpoint. Everything else is optional.

| If you need to... | Use |
| - | - |
| Send a customer's enquiry to Tera | **`POST /v1/supplier-submissions`** |
| Read status for recovery or reconciliation | **`GET /v1/supplier-submissions?external_reference=`** or **`GET /v1/supplier-submissions/{submission_id}`** |
| Upload files the customer already gave you | **`POST /v1/supplier-submissions/documents/upload-url`**, then **`POST /v1/supplier-submissions/documents/finalize`** |

## Submissions

Create a submission with the customer's business, funding, applicant, and consent details. After commercial acceptance, Tera creates one Application and runs Pre-Underwriting. See [Create a submission](/guides/application-submission) for the full body and a worked example.

Learn status from [webhooks](/guides/webhooks). Use the read endpoints only for recovery and reconciliation.

## Documents

Use the document endpoints only when the customer already gave you files before the Tera journey. See [Supplier-held documents](/guides/supplier-held-documents).

## Paths

Every public path starts with `/v1`. That is part of the URL, not a choice you need to make.
